Hi Janet,
I see we have much in common! You’re spot on with this post. I can definitely relate to it.
I almost feel like it was written for me personally.
For the longest time, I was the main obstacle standing in the way of the success of my business.
I let myself fall into information overload. It nearly killed my business.
I was chasing opportunity after opportunity, and not accomplishing anything.
I’ve learned to focus on one thing at a time & give it my 100% effort.
I’m a better person for it.
I do hope we can keep in touch, as I feel we can add great insight for each other.

Great list!

Our wedding was in winter and outdoor. And we were expecting scattered showers, so we bought 30 cheap umbrellas.

Also, if your wedding is outdoor in summer, a cute white parasol would be great for looking cute and blocking the direct sun which is also helpful for photographers in some situations…

I’m glad that you liked the article. Although I’ve been in the industry for sometime now, I still have to make sure that I’m always asking the right questions. It certainly helps to know where to start in the process and the questions that you need to know to ask. It prevents a lot of surprises, frustrations and disappointments.

I love planning weddings at Terra Bella. And yes, Santa Barbara is very romantic. There are so many wonderful hotels and quaint B&B’s. When I’m planning a client’s wedding in Santa Barbara, I always book a week at the Montecito Inn in the Montecito Village. The area has an abundance of unique boutiques, restaurants and spas.You can walk from the Inn down to the Four Seasons- Biltmore for breakfast-brunch. Or try Jeanne’s Bakery, where all the locals gather for their morning lattes and freshly baked muffins and scones!

I went to a wedding at the Terra Bella about six months ago and it was absolutely gorgeous. So classy and elegant, it was a beautiful wedding. All the friends and family decided to stay around the local Santa Barbara area and we found some great budget-friendly hotels. There are many great little inns around the pier but if you want to escape the touristy area I suggest the Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com) on upper State. Either way you truly can’t go wrong with a Santa Barbara wedding…it’s such a romantic setting and great for the guests as well as the bride and groom.
